What is wheelchair rugby?
Wheelchair rugby, commonly known as “Murderball,” is a full-contact distality team sport that welcomes both male and female athletes. Each of the four quarters lasts eight minutes, and each side has a total of 12 players at its disposal, but only four can play at a time.
How is wheelchair rugby played?
The idea of the game, which is played on a basketball court, is to score by going beyond the other team’s goal line. Wheelchairs are constantly slamming against each other and the passing and ball carrying provide for nonstop action. A hybrid of basketball, handball, and ice hockey, this game is unlike any other.
